Nicolas Jaar featuring Will Epstein and Dave Harrington - Variations (Live)

"A new video of underground lightning rod Nicolas Jaar performing live with his Darkside cohort, Dave Harrington, and Will Epstein (of Yours Truly) has surfaced courtesy of MTV Hive. As polarizing as the work and outspoken ideologies of Jaar have been since his debut album, Space Is Only Noise If You Can See, was released last year, it's hard to find fault with his penchant for experimentation and willingness to delve deeper into the possibilities of live electronic performance. The track executed in this video, termed simply "Variations," features plenty of acoustic and electronic trickery from its three participants, mixing the two worlds into a homogenous blend of slow-motion house, blues, and jazz. The collaborative piece, recorded in Austin during SXSW, also features short clips of an interview with Jaar." via XLR8R

Franck Roger - Bring It Back (Maya Jane Coles Remix)

"Having given Maya Jane Coles her break (and biggest hit to date the monumentally big "What They Say"), the talented Londoner repays the favour by remixing Real Tone head honcho's latest track "Bring It Back". Slick, deep house grooves that have got MJC written all over them! Limited one sided release..." via Phonica Records

Murk & Intruder (A Murk Production) - Amame feat Jei (Long Ass Mix)

on repeat:

Terranova - Question Mark feat. Tomas Høffding (KiNK mix)

"KiNK adorns his rework with the massive, yet elegant boldness he's become known for, and one has a hard time imagining the "Tiger from Sofia" sitting calmy in a chair while producing. Running around town with a big red "K" on his t-shirt, we're convinced that KiNK is in fact a secret super hero saving crowds from desperation and ye olde rave from heavy traffic."

His musical influences are characterized by the complete lack of fear of contact, ranging from punk and new wave (Stranglers / Joy Division) to pop (Prince / Peter Gabriel) and classic techno (Dave Angel / Daniel Bell), to local folk music (Biermösl Blosn ). Maya Jane Coles - DJ-Kicks [K7 Records]

“I wanted this mix to showcase my diversity,” says Coles. “I don’t just do one thing and I wanted it to reflect that. Most of the mixes I’ve put out there so far have been house based, but I also produce stuff under the Nocturnal Sunshine monicker, which is more two-step/bass influenced stuff. This mix evolved into something that wasn’t just four-to-the-floor.”

“The Nocturnal Sunshine track is something I started about three years ago,” she continues. “I never managed to finish it. I kept going back to it, but it was never quite right. I came back to it again, totally stripped it back and redid it and it came out really well. It’s not normally something I would do. Normally, if I can’t finish something I scrap it. The tracks I’m happiest with are normally the ones that come naturally and quite instantly. When I spend too much time working on something it can lose that specialness. If it’s too much effort then it doesn’t feel right. But in this instance it just had something that I really liked. I’m really glad I came back to it.” - via dj-kicks.com

Tom Trago - Use Me Again (And Again)

"One of Tom Trago's biggest tracks, now remastered. Backed with a huge Carl Craig Rework ..TIP!
'Use Me Again' is Tom Trago's evergreen club classic. Originally released at the start of 2010 it became a staple track in many a DJ set.
The track is based around an infectious loop in true disco spirit, it lights up every dancefloor its been played to. The original version has been yet again remastered for 2012 release.
Carl Craig has been one of the track's biggest fans ever since it came out, playing it out in almost every set at a certain point. For this release he came up with a typical c2 re-tweak. Big one!" via Rush Hour
