John Talabot - ƒin

"Talabot shot to prominence off the back of his debut single, Sunshine, a track that, as Philip Sherburne put it, "piled loops on top of loops—disco breaks, drum machines, Rhodes riffs, silvery guitars, African chants—like some kind of top-heavy wedding cake that might come crashing down at any second." That one came out two years ago on Hivern Disc, the label he runs out of his home city of Barcelona. Since then he's cozied up with the Munich house and disco outfit Permanent Vacation, who will be releasing ƒin. The album features all previously unreleased tracks. Pional, who has also appeared on both Permanent Vacation and Hivern Discs, makes two guest appearances." via Resident Advisor

Marcel Dettmann - Landscape (Answer Code Request Remix)

"If you didn’t just get back from a few months at the International Space Station, then you know that Music Man just released ‘Conducted’, Marcel Dettmann’s new mix-cd. Attentive listeners noticed that Marcel didn’t include any of his own tracks on this compilation, but we have some good news for his fans: Marcel made an exclusive track for Music Man. “Landscape” is nothing but a wonderful trip, as you will hear. On remix duties is Answer Code Request, a close friend of Marcel, who also appeared with a track on ‘Conducted’." via Music Man Records

Intercity - Groovin' Without Doubt

Biztos sokaknak ismerős az Inner City, akik a Big Fun, majd később a Good Life nevezetű slágerükkel váltak híressé. De arról már kevesebben tudnak, hogy kezdetben még Intercity volt az elnevezése a Kevin Saunderson által alapított detroiti "bandának".
Az Intercity 3 olyan zenészből állt (Derrick May, James Pennington és Kevin Saunderson), akik meghatározó alakjai voltak a 80-as 90-es évek detroiti techno életnek.

Walls - Sunporch

"WALLS are once again getting set to frazzle minds and make hearts swoon with the release of their second album 'Coracle' (26th September) - set to once again capture the shimmering layers of guitar and synths, ecstatic melodies and emotive vocals that made their debut an instant classic. Their first single 'Sunporch' (rel. 29th August) reinforces the ground they explored with 'Gaberdine', a towering arpeggiated bass line surrounded by a swirling web of guitars and percussion - expect a much more dancefloor orientated set, taking the promise of their debut onto giddy new heights..." via soundcloud.com/kompakt

Raz Ohara - See it coming

'Raz Ohara brings his unique style to Kindisch, in the form of the ‘See It Coming’ EP. Raz holds true to his style of layering ghostly vocals with haunting melodies coupled with ambient percussive elements. We begin the EP with its title track ‘See It Coming’, a colorful blend of melancholic tones on a chilled canvas of percussion. As a perpetual melody drives, delicately laid vocals narrate the journey to the subconscious..' - via Phonica

Electric Wire Hustle - Again (Scratch 22 Remix)

"I first met 22 at a DMC battle in Auckland, both of us young budding turntablists. He was probably the most musical DJ out of all of us, taking a real composer’s approach to his battle sets, rather than the Muhhamed Ali method of degradation and methodical pummeling. His productions are equally as thought out; incredibly widely-listened, he creates beats ranging from NYC style hip-hop to punk rock and (good) pop songs. What a guy." - via bbemusic.com

Amirali - Beautiful World

Emerging from the Crosstown Rebels camp and into the limelight, Iranian Canadian producer Amirali is heading for big things in 2012. Launching the year with first single ‘Beautiful World’, this captivating slice of nu-wave wonky electronic melancholic house has seismic dancefloor appeal.

Laced with the gothic sound of Depeche Mode colliding in the future with the spawn of Art Department and Underworld at Burning Man’s Robot Heart, the original cut of ‘Beautiful World’ is a seductive, space-age concoction of weird and groovy magnitude. Driven by bass swagger and imbued Amirali- Beautiful World with an air of cinematic harmony, the penetrating vocal injects a gothic pop sensibility and marks out Amirali as the new voice in dance music. In this near epic package, the song is given cubic dimensions from a pool of current world-class talent. - via Soundcloud

Philipp Gorbachev - In the Delta

'PHILIPP GORBACHEV, that tall, black maned, young and rocking Russian recently joined the CÓMEME fold. Discovered originally by REBOLLEDO and raised by MATIAS AGUAYO, he has now become a constant presence in the crew's outfit. Whether it's sharing the stage as a DJ, or as a musician of the up-and-coming CÓMEME live bands ISAAC JOHAN or THE DISTRICT UNION, his force as a percussionist and producer is destined to top any talent show.'- via Phonica Records

Parentz - Big (Yalls Remix)

"East Bay producer/singer -Parentz- had to go ahead and get fellow Mapzzz EP alum Yalls to turn his uber-electro-pop tune into some glistening ’80s-indebted, glitched-out magic. Dan Casey aka Yalls come from Oakland and he's awesome at making music." - via mapzzz.com

Ifan Dafydd - To Me

'...Ifan Dafydd releases his first proper single at the end of this month. First shared as a radio rip back in December, the two tunes forget the dancefloor (boo!) for something a bit more introspective. “I’ve always sung but writing conventional ‘songs’ has never come naturally to me. I wanted to treat my vocals as just another instrument and not as the forefront of the track for this release.” he says “I didn’t create these songs for people to dance to and I wouldn’t consider them big club tracks because I didn’t go to big clubs when I produced them. ' - via abeano. To Me X Treehouse out on 30th January on Push and Run
