Bubba - We Need A Break EP
'The First release of 2012 from the ever-growing Clouded Vision Recordings sees Belfast’s finest new house pioneer at the helm.
Bubba has released on more labels than most and is famed most recently for his tracks on Hot Creations, Extended Play and Hannah Holland’s “Batty Bass”.
When I first heard “We Need A Break” I knew it was a CV record. It has the power and the groove to please any floor, but with that little indescribable extra that sets it apart from the ever- expanding musical universe of “safe hits”. It is tried and tested to an incredible effect, with a breakdown that cuts a fine line over obnoxious and a bass line and vocal that will stay in your head for days to come.
Wanna Dance, Get Up will please the UK house heads and provides an excellent alternative for those without the guts to try and breach the borderline element of the A side.' - via Matt Walsh/Clouded Vision Soundcloud

Yppah - Eighty One LP (Ninja Tune)
“memories from random times in my life.
Like I was trying to recreate certain feelings
I had at different points in my life with melodies,
if that makes any sense.”

Human Woman - Delusional (Gus Gus Mix)
"After Human Woman‘s more than impressive debut for hfn music with their ‚Delusional‘ EP, we are excited to announce this special remix package with re-workings from Iceland‘s leading electronic talents, the mighty Gus Gus and Human Woman‘s own Galdur. Gus Gus really need no introduction with their history in the electronic music scene and countless hits under their belt. Their main remix takes us into floating, warm and lush synth driven zones, enveloping the stand-out vocal from Human Woman, Gus Gus wrap us in a blanket of incredible sound, before allowing us the pleasure of also including an Instrumental Mix, and a ‚No Beat Mix‘- perfect for the wintery nights but also for next year‘s impending festival season!" via hfn music

Bullion - What Does She Know [R&S]
"Witness the evolution of Bullion's idiosyncratic oeuvre on his latest, and greatest release for R&S. From his earliest 'Pet Sounds: In The Key Of Dee' through to that sideways remix of Model 500, there was never any doubt that the guy was a hugely distinguished talent, but we really didn't see this one coming. These are his most pop-sharp, imaginative offerings to date, sounding like John Maus in a psychedelic tizzy with the smudged-out dreampop of 'Say Arr Ee', or concocting some kinda Balearic minimal-wave-funk hallucination with 'What Do You Know'. Hit the samples and prepare to be impressed. Recommended!" - via boomkat

Darkness Falls - Timeline (Trentemøller Dub)
"Following their incredible debut album ‚Alive In Us‘, Darkness Falls quickly return on hfn with their next release – ‚Timeline‘. Including the brooding original version, then a real international crowd of remixes from the likes of Trentemøller -who has already worked with Darkness Falls as producer of their aformentioned album, US upstart Com Truise, the UK‘s Tom Demac and Spain‘s Pional.
Laden with atmosphere, room filling production and dramatic synths, the original of ‚Timeline‘ rushes into our consciousness like only Darkness Falls can – moody, bittersweet and timeless. An instrumental mix is included as a bonus at the end of the record. Copenhagen‘s prime production master, Trentemøller drops us in the deep end with his cinematic, dubbed out edit, giving a nod to the days of pioneering downtempo electronica like Massive Attack or Unkle..." via hfn music

Shlohmo - Vacation EP
'Self-described as "night time backyard noises", 'Vacation' builds on the aesthetic Shlohmo established with mixes for FACT and FADER, in which broken cassette tapes and warped found sounds melded into melodic beats packed with veiled emotion and latent mysteriousness.[...]The 12" is packed with a stellar cast of remixers, the likes of Nicolas Jaar, Airhead, and our very own Salva and Groundislava contributing to take 'Vacation' to the next level.' - via fofmusic

Terranova - Hotel Amour LP
"Fetisch and &ME will release Hotel Armour, a joint LP under the Terranova guise, through Kompakt in February. Both Fetisch and &ME have long production histories. The former cut his teeth behind the boards in the '90s, releasing a slew of singles and several albums under a variety of monikers and as a part of a number of groups, with Lottergirls, Axis and D. Bergmann among them. The latter has put music to wax for the likes of International Deejay Gigolo, Front Room Recordings and Keinemusik, though his output is significantly smaller than his Terranova counterpart's. Originally brought to life just over a decade ago with four members, the ongoing Terranova project has resulted in close to a dozen 12-inches, many of them on !K7. The latest release will be Terranova's first full-length release on Kompakt, and sees the melody-heavy and upbeat style they've showcased throughout their career continued." - via Resident Advisor
Jessie Ware - Running
'Jessie Ware’s sultry new track “Running” gets a video that revolves almost exclusively around her deliberately subdued (but glamorous) posing. Like fellow Brit, Sade, Ware has an effortless, smooth-spreading voice, and looks great in a turtleneck. Her yet-to-be titled sophomore album will be out this summer.' - via Fader

'23-year-old Welsh singer and musician Ifan Dafydd returns this 2012 with a new outing on label Push & Run entitled ‘Treehouse’ and ‘To Me’, two pieces of richly textured songs with soaring strings and melodic pianos. Having previously chopped ‘n’ screwed Emeli Sandé’s ‘Daddy’ and reworked Gang Colours, Dafydd was championed early on by the likes of Gilles Peterson, Huw Stephens, Sinden and Jamie xx, bringing him fast into the limelight.' - via Dazed Digital
